Ferran, a post-millennium champion

Ferran, a post-millennium champion

The Valencian is the first player born in the 21st century to score in Champions League

The post-millennial generation or Gen Z corresponds to all boys and girls born after the year 2000. We are talking about young people who have just reached 18 years old and in the world of football, some of them are beginning to make a name. Ferran Torres is one of the leaders of his generation.

In his second attempt at Champions, the Foios attacker has written his name in the history of the top European competition. After his goal against Lille in Mestalla, Ferran has become the first post-millennial man to score in the Champion League. Madrid's player, Rodrygo, achieved this same feat with making a hat trick to Galatasaray, but the Valencian player was the one to do this for the first time.

Ferran, the only Spanish player selected for the current edition of the Golden Boy, also became the youngest player to score in the Champions League wearing the black and white shirt. In this regard, Ferran closed his particular hat trick: he has already scored in LaLiga, Copa and Champions. The Europa League is the only competition in which he has played without finishing a single goal.

These months of competition have helped to the consolidation of Ferran in Valencia. Marcelino had doubts about him, but Celades heavily bet on him and the boy has taken advantage of this great opportunity.
