The strong performance of the 19-year-old football player with the Black Sea team brought him a prestigious transfer to the Czech giants Sparta Prague.
Former Arsenal player Tomasz Rosicki, who is currently Sparta's sporting director, described Minchev as very valuable to the team. He places great hopes on the Bulgarian and defines speed and the ability to score as the main advantages.
"We have been following Minchev's performances for a long time. We noticed him in the match Czech Republic - Bulgaria under 18. "Apart from being very talented, he has a great desire to score and win," said Rosicki.
The expected 2m euros, which will go to the Black Sea coffers, make Minchev one of Sparta's most expensive transfers.
The same amount was paid for Semih Kaya in 2017, when the loudest transfer in the history of the club was made. Sparta paid nearly 3.75m euros for Nicolae Stancu's services.
The other more expensive player who wore the team of the capital's grandmaster is the Israeli Tal Ben Haim (2.9 million euros).
This season Martin Minchev participates in over 20 championship matches with the Black Sea team, in which he scored six goals.
