Privacy policy

The sportalaxy.com website and its mobile applications respects and is committed to protecting the privacy of all parties browsing or otherwise using the Website, hereinafter referred to as 'Visitors'. From time to time, and only with their prior consent, the Website collects and uses 'Personal Data' (defined below) relating to its Visitors, with a view to providing its services to them and only for the purpose expressly stated down in the text.

This Privacy Policy complies with international Conventions and EU Directives as paraphrased by Maltese law in the Data Protection Act (Chapter 440 of the Laws of Malta), the Personal Data Processing Act (in the electronic communications sector, Legal Notice 16 of 2003, including subsequent amendments), it adapts Recommendation 2/2001 of Paragraph 29 of the Data Protection Working Party, implemented on 17 May 2001, concerning certain minimum requirements for the collection of personal data online and also uses other applicable rules and practices.

Collection of personal data

The Website does not collect personal data when Visitors only browse the Website. However, the Website requires Visitors to provide certain personal data by using additional or advanced services provided within the Website after registration. In these cases, the Website will request the relevant consent from the Visitors before collecting and using their personal data. Upon registration and in other cases, the Website may ask Visitors to enter their email address for login and password.

Visitors are under no obligation to provide their personal data or consent to the collection of their personal data by the Website. However, the Website will not be able to provide all its services to Visitors who have not given permission to collect their personal data.

The website undertakes to make all reasonable efforts to keep the collected personal data current. However, Visitors are encouraged to inform the Website of any changes to their personal data stored by the Website.

Visitors who believe that their relevant personal data is inaccurate may request the Controller in writing to correct it. Visitors also have the right to ask the Regulator to block or delete their personal data if it has been processed unlawfully.
 

Purposes of collection and use of personal data

Personal data collected by the Website shall be processed in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act (Chapter 440 of the Laws of Malta) and ancillary laws brought into force therein, solely for the purposes of:

Communication with Visitors;
Sending a forgotten password for the relevant account to Visitors;
Sending information that the Provider considers that the Visitors will find useful, including information about products, services and commercial / advertising materials offered by the Website / advertising materials offered by third parties cooperating with the Website;
Provision of additional services that enable the Website to be configured to some extent;
Improving the content offered by the Website;
Providing customized content to the Website and/or its appearance.


Disclosure of Personal Data to Third Parties

The Provider does not sell, trade or rent personal data belonging to the Visitors and does not disclose it in any other way to third parties without the prior consent of the Visitors. However, personal information would be provided to third parties in the event of a sale of the Website.
The above does not affect the legal obligation of the Website to disclose personal data of Visitors to third parties.
The foregoing is also without prejudice to a disclosure that is strictly necessary as part of one or more of the Purposes for the collection and use of personal data. In this case, the Website should seek the prior express consent of the affected Visitors.
The Provider reserves the right to provide statistics on Visitors, sales, traffic and other statistical information relating to the Website to third parties, without, however, identifying a specific Visitor.

Log files

In order to better administer the Website and to collect general demographic information about Visitors for general use, the Website automatically records the IP address of all Visitors and, accordingly, the pages viewed by each individual Visitor.

Period of storage of personal data

Personal data is stored only for the period of time necessary to fulfill the purposes of its collection. In case of inactivity on the part of a user account for 3 years, all collected personal data will be deleted.

Third Party Websites

This Privacy Policy does not cover third party websites. The website provides links to other sites for the convenience of Visitors. The Website is not responsible for the content displayed on third-party websites and the measures they implement to protect your privacy. Other sites that Visitors visit from the Website may not have an adequate Privacy Policy.

Visitors' consent to the Website and the Controller's collection and use of their respective personal data is subject to the Privacy Policy described herein.
